Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures

Please remember that cars are not allowed to enter/exit the main parking lot when buses are present, including from approximately 8:15-8:50 in the morning and 3:15-3:35 in the afternoon.  All drop-off/pickups should occur in the west lot. 


We need everyone’s assistance and compliance in order to keep all students safe during this time. 


Even a single vehicle not following the established procedures presents a danger to all students, parents, and vehicles. 

Please see the map and established procedures listed on the back of this notice.  Carefully read and follow all the procedures described on the         
“Please DO” and “Please DO NOT” lists. 
For everyone’s safety, we need ALL vehicles following ALL the procedures.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school at (630) 365-8170.

Please DO:

  • Follow the established pickup route
  • Wait in line until you can move forward behind the car in front of you into the drop-off/pickup area
  • Pull up as close as you can to the next car stopped in the drop-off/pickup area before having your child exit/enter the car
  • ONLY allow your child to exit/enter your car in the drop-off/pickup area unless you are parked in a designated space and are personally escorting your child to/from the sidewalk
  • Use the Student Crosswalk when walking through the parking lot
  • Remain in your car if you are waiting in the drop-off/pickup area (except to briefly assist your child in exiting/entering the car)
  • Use CAUTION at ALL times when walking and driving through the parking lot.

Please DO NOT:

  • Stop/park in the Student Crosswalk
  • Use the Student Crosswalk to turn around
  • Cut around stopped cars in order to move into the drop-off/pickup area
  • Allow your child to exit your car when you are outside the designated drop-off/pickup area (unless you are parked in a designated parking space and are personally escorting your child to/from the sidewalk)
  • Leave your car parked in the drop-off/pickup area to escort your child to/from the school building
